Trombeta Bath is Lisbon’s newest sauna
It is located in Bairro Alto, very close to the gay scene in Bairro. Trombeta Bath is probably the best sauna in Lisbon. It has a very clean and modern feel. As you go in, there is a small shopping area where you can get several goodies, including the calendar and t-shirts of Lisbon’s gay-friendly Rugby (Dark Horses) and Volley (BJWHF) teams. They make a nice souvenir of Lisbon and you’ll be supporting the boys.

The sauna itself occupies a large single-level underground area and it includes the following sections: plenty of lockers; a bar area; porn-cinema; a large steam-room; a sauna; jacuzzi; loads of cabins; and several dark cruising areas. In the bar area, there is music, TV, international newspapers and even iPads. You can also check your email and Facebook on your smartphone as Trombeta Bath offers free WiFi.
When to go to Trombeta?
Trombeta Bath is frequented by many hot portuguese masculine men. It is also popular with tourists. The busiest times during the week are just after working-hours (from 6 to 9pm). The Sunday is very busy, especially during Winter, when the beach is not an option. If you go late at night, the busiest ones are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
Entrance costs 14€ and it includes 2 towels, flip-flops, condoms and lube. If you are under 25, entrance is 10€. You can also pay only 12€ for 2 people if you share your locker. Trombeta is open 24h during weekends and bank holidays. On remaining days, Trombeta Bath is open from 12pm to 8am.

A sauna propriamente dita ocupa um único piso subterrâneo e compreende as seguintes áreas: cacifos, bar (máquinas de vending), cinema-porno, banho-turco, sauna, jacuzzi, quarto-escuro e cabines. A Trombeta é frequentada por muitos locais mas também é popular com turistas. As alturas mais populares são durante a semana, logo a seguir ao trabalho (entre as 6 e as 9) e aos fins-de-semana. Os domingos são muito populares, especialmente quando o tempo não permite ir à praia.
