Bardot is right in gay-corner of Bairro Alto.
Travessa da Espera, 54
Please note that Bardot Bar has closed in January of 2013. The venue now corresponds to Sétimo Céu Bar.
For 15 years this bar was known as Sétimo Céu, which was one of the most known gay bars in Lisbon. The bar has now been rebranded as Bardot, yet, it still targets the young and edgy gay crowd. Bardot is located right in the "gay corner" - the area of Bairro Alto where gays hang out. Bardot has a different feel to the remaining bars in the corner area. To begin it is probably the largest one. It has a nicely sized main room (with DJ booth and a bar) and a back room with couches and tables a little bit smaller. On busy nights, despite its size, many patrons have their drinks outside. Secondly, is the only bar in the corner area that clearly attempts to target LGBT clients. The bars around it are also frequented by gays mostly, however, it is as their success with the gay crowd is a result of their location rather than an explicit intention by their owners. The atmosphere remains in Bardot is relaxed yet fashionable and elegant. There is no entrance fee.
Bardot is very good option to hang between 11 and 2 am, where it is busiest.
